Bio: Jeremy Couturier is an emerging illustrator from the Granite State of New Hampshire. After a decade-long hiatus, he rekindled his desire to create art—specifically, illustration—with a desire to explore ideas and tell stories through his work. Drawing inspiration from such artists as Franklin Booth, Edgar Degas, Bernie Wrightson, Al Williamson, Ingres, James Montgomery Flagg, and Goya, among others, Jeremy strives to achieve the level of craftsmanship and vision that such artists have laid in the groundwork before him. With a love of drawing in graphite and ink, Jeremy hopes to continue to improve his craft and eventually find work in the editorial illustration and sequential art fields. Most all of all, he appreciates that creating art is celebrating the world around him and is a noble and worthwhile pursuit, regardless of one's abilities or stature. A Newmarket resident, Jeremy resides with his wife Lyn, his two cats, and awaits the addition of his son James in May of 2009. Read his blog online at www.couturierillustration.blogspot.com.
