Bio: Formerly known as Darla Vickery, Darla Farner experienced a strong urge to paint beginning in 1998, and took a week-long vacation to attend a workshop at the Oregon Coast through Portland State University. An award-winning artist taught her how to paint with experimental watercolor and come up with something beautiful every time. Having since developed her own style, she uses her imagination and intuition to help lead the way. The art she attempts to create is one that lets the viewer’s imagination lead them into an escape from reality. Since the summer of 1998, Darla has created nearly 200 Mixed Media paintings on hot-compressed museum quality archival paper, with many more to come.
